Materials

• Nylon/Plastic: These are widely used, durable, resistant to rust and corrosion, and offer good protection against dust and debris. They often feature smooth, rounded edges for enhanced safety, making them suitable for public and high-traffic areas like hospitals and schools.

Types and Installation

• Push-in Fastener End Caps: These are designed for simple installation; you typically press the cap in by hand and secure it in the center bore, sometimes using a small hammer. Many end caps come with the plastic push-in fastener built into the cap.

• Screw-On End Caps: These end caps require the profile to be tapped (e.g., ¼-20” tapping for some 10 series profiles) to be secured with screws.

• T-Slot Covers: These are flexible strips, often made of PVC, that are pressed into the T-slot channel along its length to create a tight seal, preventing dust and dirt accumulation in the grooves. They are also simple to install and require no specialized tools other than a cutting tool to size them
